Dispute resolution is an increasingly important aspect of commerce as business relationships become more complex and highly regulated. We know from our experience that cost effective and efficient dispute resolution is vital for all businesses, large or small.

Our initial goal is to find the best solutions for our clients quickly and without having to engage in costly Court processes. We achieve this by assessing our clients' circumstances thoroughly at the outset of an instruction, understanding their commercial needs and goals and agreeing with them the most appropriate course of action.

We encourage our clients to approach dispute resolution by negotiation and mediation because in the long term this approach may help preserve important relationships for them. We also recognise that our clients are generally better served by concentrating on their businesses than by becoming involved in time consuming Court processes.

Where it is necessary to get involved in Court or arbitration proceedings, our tenacious and experienced lawyers fight our clients' corners hard and with the intention of winning.

Our dispute resolution team of two partners and four solicitors has extensive experience in advising and representing clients in relation to a wide variety of legal issues and disputes. You can find more information about our team in the link to the left.

Our particular service areas include:

Details of these services can be found in the links under 'Services' at the top left.

Our lawyers firmwide have particular expertise in the provision of legal services to an extensive range of industry sectors and types of client. This means that we are very familiar with the requirements of our clients' businesses within these sectors and can provide a tailored service designed to respond to those requirements. Details of our sector expertise for these sectors can be found in the links under 'Sector' on the left.

We know that certainty as to costs is an important issue for our clients and, where appropriate, we try to agree a fixed fee or a fee cap for the work we carry out. Where we cannot provide a fixed fee or a fee cap we will always provide a transparent mechanism for determining the costs of our services and estimates of those costs.
