After obtaining a BA and LLM and articles at Druces & Attlee, Richard Monkcom qualified as a solicitor in 1983. In 1985 he became a partner and is now the Finance Principal. His areas of practice include Corporate & Commercial , private client and corporate taxation (especially in property-based transactions), employment law and charities. He has been joint leader of the Employment Law group since 1995 and is a Principal and member of the firm's Management Executive.
In his professional capacity he is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Employment Lawyers Association, the Charity Law Association and the Life Assurance Legal Society. He is also an occasional contributor to the Times, Sunday Times, Independent and Independent on Sunday on employment issues.
In his spare time he enjoys clay pigeon shooting and walking.
